Owls pay local units a flying visit

Girls from units in the Marches District were pleased to welcome a visit from Ashton Owls (and their handlers).

Around 50 Brownies, Rainbows and Guides from Corvedale, Craven Arms and Hope Bowdler, joined together for an evening with Ashton Owls from Newtown at Craven Arms Community Centre.

The girls had the opportunity to learn about the owls and take part in a flying demonstration, before watching them eat their dinner of defrosted chicks.
