Peer Education

Peer Education is an opportunity for Senior Section members to share their love of Guiding with younger members, and give them confidence, knowledge and experience in a safe and fun environment.

Who can become a Peer Educator?

Any senior section member age between 14-25. The Peer Education Coordinator is your main support who will help you book sessions, set up training and keep you in contact with other Peer educators and opportunities that will interest you.

It works because girls are eager to listen to their peers who share similar life experiences.

Peer educators run fun, safe and challenging sessions which we develop with expert partners. They can deliver sessions on:

  • Think Resilient – gives girls  the tools to build their mental well-being. Developed with YoungMinds
  • Free Being Me – grows girls’ body confidence and self-esteem. Developed with WAGGGS and the Dove Self-Esteem Project.
  • Breaking Free – gives girls the tools to challenge gender stereotypes. Developed with expert academics, CEOs and charities.
  • Safe the world – helps members make a stand for safety. Developed with charity experts and police officers.
