What is Free Being Me?

Girlguiding is currently working with Dove on an initiative called Free Being Me which promotes self-esteem and body confidence. Peer Educators run sessions with both brownies and guide units over a number of weeks using a resource pack created by WAGGGS and Dove which works to enable girls to celebrate their individuality and to challenge the myth of the perfect appearance created by society.

A peer education session will allow your girls to explore issues surrounding body confidence in a safe and controlled space. Free Being Me is ideally run over a couple of consecutive weeks. Ideally this is booked a term in advance.
