To celebrate Thinking Day twelve members of Girlguiding Shropshire (plus a baby) and three guest leaders from Wednesfield climbed the Wrekin in the dark to watch the sunrise on the 20th February 2022. Despite the recent storms we didn’t get very wet but the wind on the top of hill was strong and cold. Everyone, with support and encouragement from each other, made it to the top where we renewed our promise. Sadly not a glimmer of sunrise was to be seen due to clouds. After making our way down we all enjoyed the hot drinks and sausage baps laid on for the walkers. As the route covers part of the Shropshire Way everyone qualified for their Shropshire Way Challenge badge. This walk brought the total Guiding Miles completed on the Shropshire Way since Thinking Day 2020 to 1324. Well done everyone.
